1,302 candidates were nominated by  Manitoba in December 2021

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) published new nomination issuance statistics on January 6, 2022. The province nominated 1,302 skilled workers and approved 6 business concepts in December 2021.


Manitoba also refused 5 skilled workers. MPNP invited 1,180 skilled workers, 2 business concepts and sent LAAs to 5 business candidates. MPNP received 630 skilled worker applications in December and 4 applications from business candidates.


The province is currently reviewing 691 applications, while 1,548 applications are pending assessment. Additionally, Manitoba nominated 479 Express Entry candidates. In total, 6,300 foreign nationals were nominated by MPNP, including 1,384 nominees from Express Entry in 2021.


Note that, expressions of interest from Skilled Worker Overseas candidates have only been considered if they meet the following requirements:

  • were directly invited by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment initiative; or

  • have an IRCC Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code

If a candidate is invited with an IRCC Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code, they will only be eligible for nomination if the Express Entry profile is valid at the time of the application assessment.
