The Province of British Columbia clarified guidelines regarding Invitations to Apply (ITAs) on March 10, 2022.
Invitations to apply (ITAs) are based on the information applicants provide in registrations which the province used to rank, select, and invite candidates to meet BC’s economic and labour market needs.
The main attributes that the province consider when inviting candidates include:
education
language skills
occupation
work experience
wage or skill level of the job offer
intent to live, work and settle in the province and
strategic priorities (factors that address specific labour market needs in the province)
British Columbia government priorities such as supporting specific business sectors, encouraging regional immigration, facilitating strategic pilot projects, and safeguarding the integrity of the program may be addressed through invitations.
