
The government of Canada updated the number of Ukrainian newcomers arriving in Canada under the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET) on June 10, 2022.
According to the latest update, between January 1 and June 5, 2022, 7,580 Ukrainians arrived in Canada by land, and an additional 35,707 arrived by air. Between March 17 and June 8, 2022, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) received 296,163 applications under the CUAET.
To date, the applications of 131,763 Ukrainian nationals have been approved. Ukrainian nationals and their family members can apply for a temporary resident visa to travel to and stay in Canada through the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET).
The Canadian government is committed to supporting those impacted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
