New update for super visa holders in Canada

The government of Canada has introduced a new update for super visa holders. The update will make it easier for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to visit Canada. The new update will allow multiple entries for a period of up to 10 years.

On July 18, 2022, the government of Canada introduced new instructions, updating the length of stay determined at the port of entry for super visa holders to the new ministerial instructions that came into force on July 4, 2022. As of July 4, 2022, for parents and grandparents who have a temporary resident super visa or letter of introduction without a stamp on their passport that indicates a handwritten date, or for even those who do not have any stamp, the period of authorized stay will be 5 years from the date of entry.

The Super Visa is a multiple-entry visa that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to stay in Canada for up to two years at a time. It is valid for up to 10 years, and holders can come and go from Canada as they please. The Super Visa is an excellent option for families who want to spend extended periods of time together, and it provides an opportunity for families to deepen their bond. If you are interested in applying for a Super Visa, the first step is to ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria.
