Newfoundland and Labrador started multicultural celebrations for Come Home 2022

Newfoundland and Labrador's Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, Gerry Byrne, issued a call for proposals for "Celebrating Home" - a first-time grant that encourages organizations and communities to apply for $500 to organize a multicultural program or event within the Come Home 2022 celebrations.

This initiative is the latest in a suite of newcomer-focused programs and services that makes Newfoundland and Labrador a national leader in immigration settlement and retention. Applicants must operate within Newfoundland and Labrador and are either a municipality, a local service district, or a not-for-profit community group.

Program participants may receive up to a maximum of $500 as a non-repayable grant from the 'Celebrating Home' Initiative. However, applicants will not be required to submit a claim or invoices, but may be required to provide a brief report on use of funds and project results.
