The OINP received its 2022 quota allocation after issuing 122 nominations

The province of Ontario released a new update on the issuance of nomination certificates under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on July 11, 2022.

The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development issued nominations to 122 foreign nationals, since the last update on June 28. In total, in 2022, Ontario issued nominations to 4,496 foreign nationals.

Last year, the province nominated 8,600 candidates to apply for permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). On the same day, the Federal government released the annual quota allocation for Ontario under the Provincial Nominee Program.

In 2022, Ontario can nominate 9,750 nominees. The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) selects individuals who meet one of the eligibility criteria for one of the immigration streams through an expression of interest system.
